Para Lisa

vals-bagatela para piano
(2003)
por Juan María Solare
Für Lisa

Walzer-Bagatelle für Klavier
(2003)

Para Lisa (For Lisa)

waltz-bagatelle
(2003)
by
Juan María Solare
Piece composed originally for piano in Worpswede (Germany) from 15th to 17th October 2003. Duration: 2'10"

In the title there is a translated quotation of "Für Elise", "for Elisa", of Beethoven. Also in the dedicatory: the original manuscript (it is said, because the actual original is lost) stated, "Für Elise am 27. April zur Erinnerung von L.v. Bthvn" (For Elise on April 27th, as a souvenir from L.v. Bthvn). Part of the subtitle (bagatelle) is also a quotation in this same direction. Musically there are no quotations of Für Elise, thanks God, because it has been already enough parodied.

I don't really know what could have happened on that April 27th, but I rather know a few things about October 17th. Thus, the piece is dedicated to Elisabeth Dierlich, nicknamed Lisa.

Argentines shouldn't see in this date any political allusion; it is a mere coincidence.
